Located at the edge of the picturesque Gila National Forest is Silver City, New Mexico, voted one of the 100 Best Small Towns in America, as quoted by author Norman Crampton. The four gentle seasons captivate local residents as well as visitors. As you visit our site you will learn how you can be a part of the potential economic development and the riches of Grant County and surrounding areas.

Located Close Enough to Big Cities
Silver City is strategically located 55 miles north of Interstate-10 via U.S. highway 180. The Town of Silver City is far enough removed from the urban rush hour to permit tranquility and a sense of freedom, yet close enough to large metropolitan areas of Las Cruces and Albuquerque, New Mexico; El Paso, Texas; Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, to enjoy their advantages.

Located Close to Ports of Entry
Silver City is close enough to enjoy the culture of Mexico. New Mexico has 400 miles of border with Mexico and three ports of entry, two of which have commercial facilities. The Columbus Port of Entry is open 24-hours a day and is located 86 miles south of Silver City. The Santa Teresa Port of Entry is 100 miles southeast of Silver City. For information on crossing the border please visit www.nmiba.com to aid in your international experience.
